Manifesting your Dream Life: Part Three, Living It
Last week, my friend Nikki gave me a piece of advice that had the power to change my perspective and my outlook. She simply said, “Don’t just envision your dreams— believe you’re already living them.” She reminded me that I’m already the person I am meant to become— it’s already within me. It’s within all of us. What is meant for us won’t escape us— and she’s right. So, here’s a few tips to not only manifest your dream life, but to deeply and truly root yourself in the belief that you’re already living it.
How to live your dream life right now
For one, I find waking up and reminding myself with a few simple mantras that I am “healthy, powerful, and in line with what I am meant to receive” goes a long way. Your words and thoughts shape your reality, and though this can be a privileged-seeming point of view, it’s more a reminder of what you deserve and that you deserve all the good that is coming your way. You’re already you, and that is your power. No one else is you, what’s meant for you won’t go to someone else. Be open to just receiving the abundance headed directly your way.
I also like to dress the part, and surround myself with things that make me feel more in my purpose. Dressing for the life you want, like getting dressed up and feeling confident even on a cozy work from home day in, can really be a mood and perspective shift. Surrounding yourself with positive music, comfort items that bring good feelings, all of that can make you feel more at ease and at home with what’s ahead and what’s already in the now. Make your space and your image the one you’ve dreamed of— live your truth, even in the here and now.
Finally, live in the here and now, and soak it all in. Even when things aren’t going so well (and they won’t always) remember to practice presence, mindfulness, and soak these moments in. Savor the good ones, remember the hard times will pass. This weekend I celebrated life by simply living in the moment and reveling in every moment of joy I felt as I took a sunshiney walk, as I got brunch with a dear friend, as I relaxed in my home, and so on. I soaked in the moments and reminded myself I’m truly living the dream, right here and now, and it had a large impact on my mood. In other words, be like Drew Barrymore recently dancing in the rain— find joy in the little things.
So, how are you living your dream right now? Not just waiting for things to come, but reveling in the good that’s happening in this moment? Let’s discuss,
